"...I am hooked."

Introducing: Big Rain
By: Christie Bohorfoush - AngryCountry Senior Staff Writer

As for this writer, I am hooked. Big Rain is the most refreshing band that

has come along in quite some time. Indeed, the listener will hear old

familiar sounds and everything from what will remind you of old 50's

tunes to Latin inspired tunes to early rock sounds to soul. The question

really is, "How did Big Rain manage to mix all of those influences into

their sound, while still keeping a country edge?" Well, I cannot answer

that question; but I can tell our readers that Big Rain brings a unique

album of music that must be heard. While Nashville continues to crank

out cookie cutter artists, this band brings the listener something new and

refreshing; while keeping its roots grounded in the oh so familiar past. It is rare when a debut album does not have a bad track on it; simply a must hear for anyone who loves country music with an edge!

Track One: "Sweet Inspiration"
Great track that remided me of old Ricky Nelson tunes and the songs of the 50's... a tune about a man's dream of spending his life with a special woman.

Track Two: "I'm Not Running"
Nice song that speaks to a man's pressures in life and how a woman can help to keep him grounded.

Track Three: "Angel In My Room"
Sweet tune about bad dreams and the angels who come to watch over us and calm us.

Track Four: "December Night"
Terrific soulful track that addresses those feeings of giving into one another and to love. Like Ray Ruff, this track immediately became my favorite from the album, as well, because of its soulful sound and the fantastic guitar work. This ought to be a #1 hit for Big Rain!

Track Five: "Sound Of Freedom"
Santana inspired track about the power of music to lift your spirits and set you free.

Track Six: "Valley Of Towers"
Interesting song about the Silicon Valley and the power of those who work in its office buildings.

Track Seven: "I'm Breaking Out"
Wonderful song that looks at a man's wish to escape from a bad relationship and the woman who has a hold on him.

Track Eight: "Las Vegas"
Cute song about a couple hitting the open road for Vegas with plans to begin a new life together.

Track Nine: "Waiting"
Nice track that looks at a man who is willing to wait for that special woman to come to him and how he will be there for her.

Track Ten: "Moment Of Honesty"
Great tune about how a woman's honesty and feelings can totally disarm a man.

Track Eleven: "Hotel Life"
Humorous look at being in the music business and the life of touring on the road.
